transfrontera

Transfrontera has been developed within the framework of the closing of the European cross-border project ProspecTsaso (Cross-border health and social foresight) programmed within the framework of the Spain-France-Andorra Territorial Cooperation Operational Programme 2014-2020 (POCTEFA 2014-2020).

It is a European Interreg programme, mobilising funds from the ERDF (European Regional Development Fund).

The transfrontera tool concerns all past, present and future cross-border cooperation projects involving teams from the UPVD.

what is transfrontera

In Spanish, transfrontera means “going beyond borders”.

Indeed, the objective of the Interreg programmes, beyond encouraging simple bilateral cooperation, is to “move the lines” that separate and divide Europeans on their borders, in order to move towards greater European integration.

Cooperating on borders is, in a way, learning to cross them virtuously, for the good of the two countries concerned and for the common good of a Europe that is strong in its diversity and interdependence.

that transfrontera offers

In its space open to the public, the transfrontera site presents, in detail, each of the projects carried out by teams from the UPVD (as partners or leaders). These projects are classified within the major thematic axes proposed by the POCTEFA programme. These axes correspond to the combination of European priorities set for cooperation and the specific contexts in which it will be applied (there are more than 50 Interreg cooperation programmes on the different European internal borders).

In its space reserved for UPVD staff and students, the transfrontera site offers support for cross-border commitment. It includes, in the form of a toolbox:

  • support for partners and project promoters;

  • support for cross-border mobility dynamics (students, researchers, professionals in lifelong learning, etc.);

  • a virtual space for meetings and exchanges for all those interested in cross-border cooperation and mobility

Le projet a été cofinancé à hauteur de 65% par le Fonds Européen de Développement Régional (FEDER)
dans le cadre du Programme Interreg V-A Espagne-France-Andorre (POCTEFA 2014-2020).
